Section 3-22, "Driving on Sidewalk Prohibited," reaches beyond motor vehicles: it names "a vehicle, bicycle, skateboard, or electric or motorized device" operated within any sidewalk area, parkway, or other right-of-way intended only for pedestrian travel. The single carve-out is crossing at a driveway approach, the depressed curb cut built to let vehicles cross the sidewalk into a driveway. Two groups are exempt outright: City employees on official business, and physically disabled persons operating a wheelchair or other personal assistive mobility device. A companion section, Sec. 3-22.1, separately bans driving a motor vehicle on a disabled-access ramp. Sec. 3-22 is on the specific list of infraction sections in Sec. 1-18.1(a), so it is not prosecuted as a misdemeanor; instead the tiered infraction fine schedule in Sec. 1-18 applies. Enforcement matters most along Inglewood's commercial corridors and near SoFi Stadium, the Kia Forum, and the Intuit Dome, where skateboards, e-bikes, and scooters compete with heavy event-day pedestrian traffic on narrow sidewalks.
