Since October 1, 2022, all short-term rentals in Irving must be registered annually with the city to receive a certificate of registration. The registration is completed online through the city's Business Center portal. Applicants must provide proof of property ownership, valid identification, and a signed attestation of the property's habitability. A designated agent must be identified who can arrive at the STR property within one hour of being contacted by the city. The registration must be renewed annually.
