Yorba Linda, CA Soliciting & Door-to-Door: No-Knock Registry (2026)

Section 5.02.080 lets any owner or occupant list their address on the City's Do Not Knock Registry by submitting a form to the City Clerk; the listing is valid for one year and must be renewed annually. The registry is updated every 30 days and takes effect on the first of each month. The City Clerk's office issues the current registry to every solicitor when a solicitation permit is granted, and solicitors must obtain an updated copy on the first of each month; property owners on the list may also buy a sticker or sign from the Clerk's office for a nominal fee to post on the premises.

Section 5.02.100 separately makes it unlawful to go upon, ring the bell of, or knock on any residence where the occupant has objected by explicit instruction, registry listing, or a posted No Solicitation sign or decal, unless the occupant invited the visit; routine deliveries and requested service calls are presumed invited. Section 5.02.140 sets citywide solicitation hours: no one may knock, ring a bell, or attempt entry earlier than 8:00 a.m. or later than 30 minutes after sunset, again unless invited by the owner or an adult occupant.
