The reasonable time for uninvited solicitation is defined as that which occurs between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and the earlier of 9:00 p.m. or ½ hour after sunset each day.(b)Any peddler, solicitor, vendor, itinerant merchant or transient vendor of merchandise who attempts to solicit orders for the sale of goods, wares, merchandise or services at any place of residence where otherwise posted as being prohibited or after having been verbally forbidden by the occupant or who remains upon the premises after having been requested to leave by the occupant, whether or not having first entered by invitation, shall upon conviction be punished as provided in section 1-9 of this Code.(c)It shall be unlawful for any solicitor or peddler, as defined in this chapter, to engage in that business within the corporate limits of the town without first obtaining a permit and license therefore in compliance with the provisions of this chapter and other applicable ordinances.
