C.Written authorization of the Director or their designee must be obtained for any reservation of a park, recreation facility, or trail and such authorization is conditioned upon the satisfaction of the following:1.An application for a permit must be submitted to the City's Parks and Recreation Department (Department) and all applications must comply with the established park, recreation facility, or trail reservation rules and guidelines in effect at the time the permit application is submitted;2.Any applicable reservation fee must be submitted; and3.Insurance (if applicable) must be obtained and a certificate evidencing such insurance must be provided to the Department.

Violations & Fines
Holding an unauthorized gathering, publicly advertised event, or reservation-requiring activity without the Director's written authorization is a violation of Chapter 12.16, punishable under Section 12.16.120 by a fine of up to $500, up to six months in the City jail, or both. The Director may also suspend a person's park access under Section 12.16.115 for violating posted rules or event conditions.
