Anaheim requires waste containers be placed curbside between 4 PM the day before and 7 AM on collection day under AMC 10.10.070. Bins must be removed by midnight. Three-cart system for trash, recycling, and organics.
AMC Section 10.10.070 requires residential solid waste, recyclable materials, and organics containers to be placed at a curb, parkway, or alley location approved by the City Manager. Containers may be set out between 4:00 PM the day before collection and no later than 7:00 AM on the day of collection. All containers must be removed no later than 12:00 midnight on collection day. Republic Services provides three-cart collection for trash, recycling, and organics (food scraps and yard waste) per SB 1383 requirements. Containers must not obstruct sidewalks, driveways, or traffic lanes. When not set out for collection, bins should be stored behind a fence or in a side yard out of public view. Commercial properties have separate container placement and collection schedules.
Bins out past midnight: code enforcement notice. Blocking sidewalk: correction order. Non-compliance with three-cart sorting: future SB 1383 enforcement.
