Section 31-6 of the Code of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas requires household trash to be kept in durable, rust-resistant, watertight cans with close-fitting covers, or in plastic bags capped at 50 gallons and 75 pounds, until the collector arrives. Section 31-7 governs when and where that container may reach the curb. Under subsection (d), a collection schedule is published in the official city paper and kept on file with the unified government clerk, and garbage and trash must be set out at the curb of the dwelling, packed in sacks, paper, or containers so nothing is left loose or liquid.
