Hesperia, CA Trash & Recycling: Bulk Item Disposal (2026)

Per the City of Hesperia Bulky Item Pick-Up Program page, Advance Disposal offers free curbside pickup of large items from single-family residences and multi-family complexes. Single-family customers may schedule four pickups per year with a combined maximum of eight bulky items annually — meaning two items per appointment on average. Multi-family residential complexes get ten bulky pickups per year per weekly service day (e.g., a complex with three weekly trash pickups gets 30 annual bulky collections), capped at eight items per single trip. Arrangements must be made at least one week in advance by calling Advance Disposal at (760) 244-9773, and items must be at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on the assigned day. Accepted items include mattresses, appliances (without freon), furniture, carpet, water heaters, washers and dryers, and tree stumps over 3 inches in diameter. Prohibited from curbside bulky pickup are televisions, computer monitors, tires, motor oil, paints, solvents and thinners, glass (doors, mirrors, windows), and any other hazardous material — these require Hesperia Fire Station household hazardous waste drop-off or the periodic Neighborhood Beautification Days (quarterly free disposal events for mattresses, carpet, furniture, and appliances).
