Salt Lake City offers two on-call bulk waste pickups per year per household through the Call 2 Haul program; appointments must be scheduled in advance.
The Call 2 Haul program replaced neighborhood cleanup weeks in 2019. Each single-family household is allotted two on-call bulk pickups per calendar year at no extra charge (included in the monthly utility bill). Residents schedule a pickup by calling or using the online portal and must set out materials no earlier than the day before the scheduled haul. Acceptable items include furniture, mattresses, appliances (freon removed), and yard waste bundles. Prohibited items include hazardous waste, tires, concrete, and construction debris. Piles exceeding size limits or containing prohibited materials will be left and tagged.
