West Valley City offers two free curbside bulk waste pickups per year to residents. Items must be scheduled and placed out the evening before the assigned pickup day.
Residents receive two free bulk waste collections annually by appointment through the Sanitation Division. Accepted items include furniture, mattresses, appliances (Freon removed and tagged), and large household items. Not accepted: construction debris, concrete, tires, hazardous waste, electronics with screens, or yard waste. Items must be placed neatly at the curb no earlier than the evening before and no later than 7 AM on collection day. Unscheduled bulk placement is treated as illegal dumping.
