Scottsdale Solid Waste Services provides bulk trash collection on a scheduled basis (not weekly). Residents should contact Scottsdale Solid Waste to schedule bulk pickup or check their collection calendar for designated bulk collection weeks in their area. Accepted bulk items include furniture, appliances (with Freon removed), mattresses, and large household items. Items must be placed curbside on the scheduled collection day. Not accepted for bulk pickup: hazardous waste, tires, concrete/dirt/rock, construction debris, and electronics. Scottsdale operates customer convenience stations where residents can drop off bulk items, green waste, and other materials for a fee. The city also hosts periodic special collection events for electronics, paint, batteries, and household hazardous waste. Construction and demolition debris must be disposed of at a licensed landfill.
Bulk items placed curbside outside of scheduled collection dates may be cited as property maintenance violations.
