Bulloch County, GA Trash & Recycling: Recycling Rules (2026)

The county's Clean Community Ordinance sets specific rules for its recycling centers. Under Section 8-65(h), commercial establishments cannot dump their commercial waste at county recycling centers or open container sites; only recyclable materials may go there, and everything else must be trucked by the business owner or agent to a licensed landfill or transfer station. Building material waste from construction or demolition and lawn-care or landscaping waste face the same ban under Section 8-65(e) and (g): those loads must go to an approved landfill, not a recycling center.

1. No one may store more than 100 scrap or used tires at a time unless specifically authorized under state law, and anyone over that limit is in violation and subject to enforcement. For disposal, passenger vehicle tires may be dropped at a county recycling center, but the same person is capped at six passenger tires per day at a recycling center; anything beyond that must go to a state-licensed tire processor, and tires can never be buried, burned or dumped. Cardboard boxes and cartons must be collapsed before being placed for collection under Section 8-66(c). The environmental manager administers these centers and enforces the container and site rules across the division.
