Sec. 20-30(b)(5) folds yard waste into the standard residential subscription: the city collects horticultural and yard waste generated on the property on a scheduled weekly basis for amounts of five cubic yards or less, at no charge beyond the base monthly service fee. A load bigger than five but no more than ten cubic yards is not treated as regular yard waste; instead it is reclassified as a bulky waste collection under Sec. 00 fee plus tipping cost if that allowance is exceeded. The placement rules split by material type.

Sec. 20-67(c) requires horticultural and yard waste to be placed in a bag or bundled, with bundled yard waste limited to no more than four feet in length or width and no more than 50 pounds in weight. Sec. 20-72(b) repeats and extends this for larger debris that cannot be bagged, such as palm fronds, tree branches and limbs: those must be bundled and placed at the curb, trimmed to a maximum length and width of four feet and weighing less than five cubic yards' worth of material altogether, with all curbside placement kept clear of drainage structures, poles, hydrants and other obstacles by at least five feet under Sec.

20-72(a). Sec. 20-70(e) separately excludes landscaping contractors' debris from this residential yard-waste channel: contractors and land-clearing operations must haul away their own cutting, pruning and clearing debris rather than setting it out in a residential container or for city collection.
