Louisburg, KS Trash & Recycling: Yard Waste Collection (2026)

Section 15-417 of the Louisburg City Code sets the vehicle standard for hauling solid waste, including yard waste. As a baseline, any vehicle used to collect or transport solid waste must be kept in good mechanical condition and equipped with an enclosed, covered body so the contents cannot leak or escape while in transit. The code then carves out a single exception for yard debris: only tree trimmings or brush may be carried in an open-bodied vehicle, and that exception is conditional on the material being securely tied in place so it does not scatter along the streets and alleys as the vehicle moves through town.
