Plantation, FL Trash & Recycling: Yard Waste Collection (2026)

1(a) and (b) set Plantation's monthly Bulk Trash and Yard Waste Pickup day, the specific day each month the Franchisee designates for these waste streams, and bar residents from setting out or accumulating Bulk Trash or Yard Waste outdoors any earlier than the Saturday before that day. On days other than the monthly pickup, subsection (c)(1) requires Yard Waste to be tied into bundles, and disqualifies any single item or bundle over six feet in length or 50 pounds, anything over six inches in diameter, and unbundled leaves, grass clippings, or twigs, along with Yard Waste PAYT bags.

Residents using Automated Carts may place yard waste, including palm fronds, in the cart as long as the fronds are fully contained; PAYT bag customers may set out up to five palm fronds no longer than six feet; and Christmas trees can go to the curb regardless of size, length, or weight. No Residential Customer may set out more than 15 cubic yards of Yard Waste for any single collection. On the monthly Bulk Trash and Yard Waste Pickup day itself, subsection (c)(2) relaxes the bundling rule: Yard Waste may be tied, bundled, or stacked in piles at the curb as long as no item, other than palm fronds and Christmas trees, exceeds six feet in length or six inches in diameter, Land Clearing Debris still can't be set out as Yard Waste, and Residential Curbside Customers aren't required to bundle or bag most Yard Waste, except leaves, small twigs, and grass clippings, which must go in a Yard Waste PAYT Bag. The same 15 cubic yard cap applies, this time covering Bulk Trash and Yard Waste combined for that collection.
