Dangerous animal means any animal other than livestock maintained on agricultural property, that, according to the records of an appropriate authority: 1.Has without provocation inflicted severe injury on a human being on public or private property; or 2.Aggressively bites, attacks, or endangers the safety of humans, domesticated animals or agricultural animals without provocation after the animal has been classified as a potentially dangerous animal and after the owner has been notified of such classification.

Violations & Fines
Keeping a classified dangerous or potentially dangerous animal without required registration, enclosure, posting or liability coverage triggers confiscation under section 4.10.640, and if the owner does not come into compliance within ten business days the animal is destroyed. A citation for failing to restrain such an animal is heard before the Hall County Magistrate's Court under section 4.10.660, with penalties under section 4.10.160 and section 1.50.020.
