030(A) adopts the 2025 California Plumbing Code, Part 5 of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations, together with the Uniform Plumbing Code, 2024 Edition, including Appendix Chapters A, B, D, H and I, as published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, referenced pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Sections 17922 and 18935. That list exempts only clearing a stoppage or repairing a leak in pipes, valves, fittings or fixtures when the repair does not involve replacing or rearranging them; replacing or rearranging piping needs a permit.
