Crypto Mining Rules

Jefferson Parish defines a blockchain cryptocurrency mining facility as a "data mining center," LBCS code 4245, and its use table permits one only as a special permitted use in the I-H Heavy Industrial district; every other industrial district prohibits it outright. Sec. 33-5.3.7.1 then layers noise, electromagnetic-interference, storage-container, and utility-capacity conditions onto any approved facility.
