64(D)(14) of the zoning chapter, and it's tightly zoned: trucks are allowed only in the B-2, B-3, B-4, B-5, M-1, and M-P districts, unless the event is affiliated with an approved temporary special event permit. The property owner, not the vendor, must hold the permit, which is issued annually and renewed each year with an updated list of contracted food truck vendors, who must carry their own village license, the days and times trucks will be on-site, and a site plan showing exactly where each truck will park.

No more than three food trucks are allowed on a property at once, they must park in the spaces shown on the approved site plan, and they can't block fire lanes, drive aisles, or accessible parking spaces or interfere with the property's other activities. No tables or chairs can be set up alongside a truck. Outside of a special event, a food truck can stay on a property for a maximum of three hours at a time, and it must meet health-code water storage requirements if it stays longer under a special event permit.

The property itself must still carry the number of parking spaces the zoning ordinance requires for its existing uses even while trucks occupy some of that parking. 01, the annual temporary permit to allow food trucks costs $50, on top of the separate $115 mobile food vending or $190 mobile food preparation business license each truck operator needs.
