Schaumburg regulates on-street parking with time limits, seasonal restrictions, and overnight parking rules. The Village prohibits on-street parking between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM on all Village streets November 1 through March 31 for snow removal operations.
Under the Schaumburg Village Code, on-street parking is permitted on most residential streets during daytime hours subject to posted time limits (typically 2 to 4 hours in some areas). From November 1 through March 31, all on-street parking is prohibited between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM to facilitate snow plowing operations. Year-round, vehicles may not remain parked on the same block for more than 72 consecutive hours. Certain streets near commercial areas (Golf Road, Schaumburg Road) have additional posted restrictions. Vehicles in violation may be ticketed and towed. Contact Schaumburg PD at (847) 882-3586 for parking enforcement questions.
Parking violations carry fines of $25 to $50. Vehicles parked during the overnight winter ban may be towed at the owner's expense in addition to receiving a citation.
