Redlands, CA Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

150(A) makes it unlawful to park or stand a commercial vehicle, truck tractor, semitrailer or trailer with a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 pounds or more on any street, alley or parkway in any residential district, defined in subsection D as any single-family or multiple-family zoning district. In nonresidential districts, subsection B instead limits the same class of heavy vehicle to a continuous two-hour stay, with each additional two-hour period counted as a separate violation. Subsection C exempts vehicles making pickups or deliveries to a building on the restricted street, vehicles delivering construction materials under an active building permit, service vehicles working on the block where parked, public-utilities-commission buses, and utility, city, county, state or emergency vehicles.

Subsection E lets the city tow, under California Vehicle Code § 22651(n), any qualifying commercial vehicle left parked more than 24 hours. A violation is an infraction under subsection F, and subsection G requires that, except in alleys, the restriction cannot be enforced on a nonresidential street until signs or markings giving notice of the rule have actually been installed there.
