Gardena Municipal Code Chapter 10.28 establishes yellow freight loading zones and white passenger loading zones. Vehicles may stop in them only to load or unload for the time allowed by GMC 10.28.190.
Under GMC Chapter 10.28, no person may stop, stand, or park in a yellow loading zone for any purpose other than loading or unloading materials for the time permitted by Section 10.28.190; yellow zones are marked by a yellow paint line stenciled 'Loading Only' on the curb top. White passenger loading zones are limited to loading or unloading passengers for the time specified by Section 10.28.190 and are marked by a white line stenciled 'Passenger Loading Only.' These curb-color rules track the statewide scheme in California Vehicle Code Section 21458. Using a loading zone for general parking, or staying beyond the posted time, is a violation, and loading-zone stalls remain subject to the other parking rules in Chapter 10.28.
Parking in a yellow or white loading zone for anything other than active loading, or beyond the allowed time, is subject to citation.
