345, Storing Vehicles or Objects on Streets, addresses overnight and long-term street parking in two parts. Subsection (1) bans 'storing' any vehicle or object in a street roadway, defining storage as five consecutive days without moving the vehicle at least 25 feet, with each additional day a separate offense; that clause exempts city or contractor equipment used for street work. Subsection (2) sets the tighter, RV-specific rule at the heart of Medford's overnight parking limit: no person owning or controlling a motor home, motor truck, truck trailer, manufactured dwelling, or manufactured structure, terms defined by reference to ORS Chapters 446 and 801, may park or maintain it within one location on a public street right-of-way for longer than 24 consecutive hours.

The code specifies that 'within one location' includes the entire parking area in front of any premises, closing the loophole of shifting a few feet within the same frontage. Subsection (3) separately bars leaving any vehicle with expired registration on the public right-of-way at all, without the 24-hour grace period that applies to the general storage rule. These provisions were amended by Ordinance No. 1998-123 in 1998 and Ordinance No. 2006-195 in 2006.
