Pasco has no citywide overnight ban on residential streets, so vehicles may generally park overnight within the 14-day limit. However, PMC 10.65.070 prohibits overnight parking in certain City lots, including the lot at South Fourth Avenue and West Columbia Street (Peanuts Park / Farmers' Market), and posted City lots and parks have their own hours.
Unlike many cities, Pasco does not impose a blanket overnight parking prohibition on residential streets. Routine overnight street parking is permitted, governed instead by the general 14-day extended-parking limit in PMC 10.65.030 and by any posted street restrictions in Chapter 10.70 PMC. The key overnight restriction in code applies to City-owned lots: PMC 10.65.070 (Overnight parking prohibited - City lots) bars overnight parking in the City parking lot at the northeast corner of South Fourth Avenue and West Columbia Street, commonly known as the Pasco Farmers' Market and/or Peanuts Park. Violations of PMC 10.65.070 are treated as Class One infractions under the City's parking penalty provisions. Other municipal lots and park facilities may be posted with their own overnight or closing hours. During winter weather, the City advises that street-parked vehicles may be surrounded by a snowbank after plowing, but it does not prohibit overnight street parking for snow events. Because the City has no general nighttime ban, residents and guests can typically park overnight on the street as long as they stay within the 14-day limit and obey posted signs.
Overnight parking in a posted City lot such as Peanuts Park (PMC 10.65.070) is a Class One infraction. Overnight parking on residential streets is generally allowed but still subject to the 14-day limit and any posted restrictions; ongoing violations may be tagged and towed.
