EMMC 10.10.100(A) governs recreational vehicles in residential zones. It is unlawful to park an agricultural vehicle, recreational vehicle, or an occupied or empty trailer on any public street within a residential zone for longer than 24 hours. The same category of vehicles is barred from the front yard area of a residential lot altogether, except on a paved or gravel driveway or in the garage side setback, per EMMC 10.10.100(A)(3). Even on a driveway, an agricultural vehicle, recreational vehicle, or occupied or empty trailer cannot sit within two feet of a sidewalk, or within two feet of the street if there is no sidewalk, under EMMC 10.10.100(A)(4).

'Recreational vehicle' is defined in EMMC 10.10.090(F) to include travel trailers, camping trailers, motor homes, and fifth-wheel trailers, while 'front yard' is defined in EMMC 10.10.090(E) as the full-width area from the front lot line to the nearest wall of the main building, including landscaping and driveways. EMMC 10.10.100(B) exempts temporary parking or stopping by city vehicles, public utility vehicles performing repairs, vehicles delivering building supplies, and vehicles used while work is actively performed on the property. Violations are enforced through the consolidated fee schedule under EMMC 10.10.120, and any vehicle parked in violation of this article may be towed to impound at the owner's expense under EMMC 10.10.110.
