Lehi, UT Parking Rules: RV & Boat Parking (2026)

City Code section 7-1-2.B makes it 'unlawful to park or keep any motor home, trailer, camper, boat, recreational vehicle or trailer of any kind, attached or unattached, on a public street, except for the limited purpose of loading or unloading the same, not to exceed twelve (12) hours.' The rule covers the vehicle whether it is hitched to a tow vehicle or sitting unattached at the curb, and it applies to the full range of recreational equipment Lehi residents commonly own, from a travel trailer to a boat on a trailer to a standalone camper.

The twelve-hour window exists only for loading and unloading; the section does not create any general right to park an RV or boat on the street for convenience or storage. It sits within the same section as Lehi's restricted-vehicle rule for heavy trucks, and the shared exceptions in section 7-1-2.C, covering deliveries, contractor work and utility repairs, apply to it as well. A violation is an infraction under section 7-1-2.D, punishable by a fine, or the city may instead assess a civil penalty for a nonmoving violation under its civil fines schedule. Because the restriction lives in the same subsection as the heavy-vehicle rule, enforcement follows the same infraction path, and repeated or extended parking beyond the twelve-hour loading window is treated as a fresh violation rather than a continuation of a single stay.
