Sec. 118-318(2) of the City Code, within Chapter 118's parking article, prohibits parking a truck containing an attached camper with a combined overall length over 22 feet, a recreational vehicle exceeding 22 feet, or an automobile trailer or boat trailer that is attached to a licensed vehicle, for longer than 24 hours on any public right-of-way, except where such vehicles are rendering delivery or other services in the immediate area. The 24-hour allowance is triple the two-hour window Sec. 118-318(1) sets for oversized trucks and unattached trailers, reflecting that recreational vehicles are treated as household equipment rather than commercial freight.

The provision derives from Code 1971, Sec. 27-216, and was last amended by Ord. No. 1999-7(2), Sec. 1, adopted December 29, 1998, the same ordinance that set the companion truck limit. Both subsections sit in Division 1 - Generally of Article VI, Stopping, Standing and Parking, and are enforced the same way: once the 24 hours lapses without a qualifying delivery or service reason, the vehicle is in violation regardless of whether it is blocking traffic. Owners who need longer curbside storage for a camper or boat trailer have to move it off the public right-of-way onto private property, since the ordinance draws no distinction for owner-occupied frontage.
