On-street parking in Redondo Beach is governed by Municipal Code Title 3, Chapter 7, Articles 12 and 13. Curb colors and time limits are set in RBMC 3-7.1205, parking in parkways is prohibited, and no vehicle may sit on a street for more than 72 hours.
RBMC 3-7.1205 sets curb-zone colors and limits: red bars all stopping; white allows passenger loading up to three minutes; yellow allows commercial loading 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; green allows short-term parking (about 20 minutes). Article 12 prohibits parking within any parkway (the landscaped strip between sidewalk and curb). Under Article 13, no vehicle may park on any street or alley more than 72 hours in any 73-hour period; it is deemed not to have moved unless relocated at least 100 feet or the odometer changes two-tenths of a mile. Metered areas such as Riviera Village carry a four-hour limit. Posted no-parking signs add further hour or day restrictions.
Parking in a red zone, exceeding a posted time limit, parking in a parkway, or leaving a vehicle over 72 hours are all citable parking violations; a 72-hour vehicle may be towed under Article 13.
