(a)No person upon roller skates, or riding in or by means of any coaster, toy vehicle or similar device, shall go upon any roadway, except while crossing a street on a crosswalk and, when so crossing, such person shall be granted all of the rights and shall be subject to all of the duties applicable to pedestrians. This section shall not apply upon any street while set aside as a play street as authorized by ordinance of the city.(b)The use of roller skates, roller blades, and skateboards is hereby prohibited in or upon any public street, sidewalk, park, or other public place within the B-4/Central Business District. The prohibition contained herein shall not apply to any portion of the Clyde Fant Bike Trail located within the B-4/ Central Business District.(c)The first violation of the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine of $100.00. A subsequent violation shall be punished by a fine of $200.00.
