Items must be placed curbside the evening before the scheduled date, separated into clear categories (metal, wood, upholstered). Additional pickups beyond the two free events can be scheduled for a fee. The annual Oakley Community Cleanup events (hosted periodically) provide additional free disposal opportunities. Illegal dumping of bulky items is a serious code violation subject to fines under Oakley Municipal Code Chapter 8.10.
