Richardson provides Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC) by request for yard waste, furniture, and other large items over 50 lbs that don't fit in regular trash. Requests can be made online or by phone.
Richardson's BABIC program handles yard waste, unwanted furniture, and other large or bulky items exceeding 50 pounds that cannot fit in normal trash bags. The service is provided by request; residents must call or submit an online request through cor.net. Items should be placed at the regular collection point. Acceptable items include furniture, mattresses, appliances (doors removed), yard waste, and tree limbs. Items not accepted include construction debris, hazardous materials, tires, and electronics (which require separate disposal). The city mulches collected brush as part of its sustainability program.
Placing bulky items at the collection point without scheduling pickup may result in Code Enforcement citations for open storage.
