Monthly curbside bulk pickup is included in the residential fee, on an assigned week by council district. Limit is 2 items per month, not exceeding 3 cubic yards total. Set items out near dusk Sunday before your service week (no more than 48 hours ahead) and schedule by calling 470-552-4311 by the Wednesday before.
South Fulton includes monthly curbside bulk waste collection in the residential annual fee, scheduled by council district: Districts 1 and 2 in the first full week of the month, District 4 the second week, Districts 3 and 5 the third week, and Districts 6 and 7 the fourth week (service runs Monday–Friday during the assigned week). Residents must schedule bulk pickup — call (470) 552-4311 by the Wednesday before the Monday service, or use the online request form; back-door service is not available. Items should be placed out Sunday evening near dusk before the service week and no more than 48 hours before pickup. The limit is a maximum of 2 items per month, not to exceed 3 cubic yards total. Accepted items include furniture, stoves/ranges, washers/dryers, water heaters, sofas, chairs, tables, car seats, play equipment, and other large household items that cannot reasonably fit in a 95-gallon cart; refrigerant must be removed from appliances with a verification tag attached and refrigerator doors removed. Not accepted: household trash bags, cardboard, tires, batteries, yard debris, construction materials, propane tanks, windows/glass doors, pool tables, safes, trampolines, mirrors, swing sets, basketball hoops, and pianos.
Setting out more than the 2-item/3-cubic-yard limit, putting out prohibited items (construction debris, tires, yard debris), or placing items out more than 48 hours early can result in items being left uncollected and a Code Enforcement notice. Persistent improper bulk dumping is treated as a solid-waste/property-maintenance violation.
