Conway, AR Trash & Recycling: Dumpster Rules (2026)

Section 5.04.21 of the Conway Municipal Code, part of the Sanitation Department chapter, sets the monthly rental rates a business pays the City for the waste containers it places on site. A 3-yard dumpster rents for $30.00 a month and a 6-yard dumpster for $53.00 a month; larger roll-off style open-top containers rent for $75.00 (20-yard), $85.00 (30-yard) and $95.00 (40-yard) a month. On top of the rental charge, the ordinance sets a separate dumping fee for the 20, 30 and 40-yard open-top containers of $22.74 per ton, with a one-ton minimum charge, assessed when the container's contents go to the city's disposal site.

This container-rental fee sits alongside the collection service fees set out in Section 5.04.03, which charges commercial customers by dumpster size (2, 3 and 6-yard) and pickup frequency, from one to six times a week, with separate per-dumpster rental fees of $30.00, $30.00, and $53.00 built into those schedules and per-pickup charges layered on top depending on how often the Sanitation Department empties the container. Businesses that generate garbage the City must collect are required to subscribe to the Sanitation Department's service under Section 5.04.01, which created the department and gave the mayor authority to collect the fees fixed by these sections and to exercise general supervisory control over the city's garbage operations.
