Stonecrest Code Sec. 22-30 sets the operating conditions for the County-run collection service that the City relies on citywide. Refuse may be collected by DeKalb County itself, by municipalities, or by commercial sanitation firms the County has licensed. Residential units get service twice weekly, though exceptionally large piles of limbs that take too long to load can be an exception to that schedule. Commercial establishments can be serviced up to six times a week given heavier volume. The section also lets the County discontinue collection at any address where garbage cans, trash cans or commercial containers are inadequate or have been condemned as unfit by an inspector, once the owner or occupant has been notified and has refused to correct the condition.
