Coral Gables, FL Trash & Recycling: Yard Waste Collection (2026)

Coral Gables requires household refuse and clean yard waste to be placed on the parkway (or alley, if used) abutting the property, at only one deposit location per residence. The city collects it once weekly. Tree trunks or stumps must be cut to a maximum length of three feet before curbside placement, and all clean yard waste must be left unbagged and stacked in an organized pile rather than loose or bagged. Piles must stay at least five feet from tree and palm trunks so roots and utility lines aren't damaged. Refuse may go out starting 6:00 p.m. the evening before collection and no later than 7:00 a.m. on collection day. Lawn and tree service companies are exempt from the city's separate hauling permit requirement, but only for debris from jobs on properties directly adjacent to the pickup spot they use.
