Queen Creek, AZ Trash & Recycling: Yard Waste Collection (2026)

Green Waste is a defined term in Article 10-9, the Town's solid waste chapter. Section 10-9-2 calls it "organic yard waste, including but not limited to, grass clippings, tree trimmings, brush clippings, and other organic yard waste of a similar nature," and the same section's definition of "Bulk Waste" lists Green Waste as one of the example materials, alongside furniture, cardboard and large appliances, that don't fit in a standard Cart. Because Green Waste is folded into Bulk Waste rather than given its own program, it is collected on the same schedule: once per month, up to six cubic yards, under the "Residential Waste Services" guarantee in Section 10-9-2.

Residents generating more brush or clippings than the monthly limit, after a major trim or storm cleanup, can arrange and pay for additional Bulk Waste collection under the optional-service provision in that same definition, or self-haul the excess to the Town's designated Disposal or Recycling Facility. Placement follows the general Bulk Waste rule in Section 10-9-8: yard waste must be stacked in a single, consolidated pile at the curb, not bagged separately or left loose in a way that blocks a Cart, the sidewalk or the street.

There is no curbside yard-waste cart, no seasonal leaf-collection calendar and no separate brush-chipping service described anywhere in Article 10-9. Residents on a Large Lot of two acres or more may instead apply to the Administrator under Section 10-9-21 for an exemption from the Bulk Waste requirement if they can show they already dispose of their own yard waste in compliance with Town, county and state rules.
