West Jordan, UT Building Safety: Plumbing Permits (2026)

Section 10-1-5 adopts the entire 2015 edition of the International Plumbing Code (IPC), including its amendments as promulgated by the International Code Council, as the controlling standard for the erection, installation, alteration, addition, repair, relocation, replacement, and maintenance or use of any plumbing system in West Jordan. The city also adopts IPC Appendix B, covering rates of rainfall for various cities used in storm drainage sizing. Anywhere the IPC refers to the "administrative authority" or "Code official," West Jordan's code defines those terms to mean the Building and Safety Division and the building official, respectively, and the "Department of Plumbing Inspection" likewise means the Building and Safety Division.
