Chapter 6-76 makes it unlawful to operate a tattoo establishment or work as a tattoo operator or artist without a permit from the health officer, issued only after the officer inspects the premises under Section 6-76-3 and confirms it meets the chapter's equipment and sanitation standards. Section 6-76-4 requires every operator and artist to complete a health-officer-approved sterilization training program and pass an examination on sterilization technique and aseptic practice before a permit issues. 00 a year, expiring every December 31st regardless of issue date, and Section 6-76-6 bars transferring a permit to another person or location.
