Old Bridge, NJ Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

Section 10-8.10 sits in the same parking-regulations article as Old Bridge's block-specific no-parking schedules, but it is written to cover the whole township rather than a named list of streets. The rule reaches any truck or vehicle over five tons' gross vehicle weight, a school bus, any other type of bus, a recreational vehicle, a camper, a boat, or a trailer, and it bars parking any of them on any street, on all sides, for the entire length of every street, between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

A related rule in Section 10-8.11, added by Ordinance No. 2011-10 in 2011, separately bars operating, parking or leaving an unregistered vehicle, or one with a suspended registration, in any parking lot or parking place open to the public, whether township-owned or private; that section carries its own $100 fine, with each day of a continuing violation counted as a separate offense, though it exempts private residential lots and vehicles exempt from registration under Title 39, such as dealer inventory. A truck, bus or trailer left overnight in violation of Section 10-8.10, like any other Chapter 10 parking violation, is also exposed to the general Section 10-3 tow-away authority, which lets a police officer have a nuisance vehicle removed at the owner's expense, and to the Section 10-4 penalty of a fine up to $50, up to 15 days in jail, or both.
