The prohibited zone is a 'residential district,' a term the section does not define itself but instead borrows from Chapter 27, the Zoning Chapter, tying the parking rule to the zoning map rather than to a separately drawn boundary.

That cross-reference matters in a borough with three separate land-use instruments, zoning in Chapter 27, subdivision and land development in Chapter 22, and planned residential development in Chapter 17: only zoning-designated residential districts trigger this parking ban. The rule reaches vehicles that are parked or 'allowed to remain parked,' so it targets overnight or long-term storage of heavy trucks and buses on residential blocks rather than a truck making an active delivery stop, which instead falls under the separate loading-and-unloading rule in Section 407. A companion provision, Section 404, Subsection 2, separately restricts where boats, trailers, motor homes and recreational vehicles may sit near intersections, but it does not carry the 14,000-pound residential-district ban that governs Subsection 1.
