Section 198-76(B), part of the commercial-vehicle and equipment article amended by Local Law No. 15-2005, sets the front-yard length cap for recreational equipment. A boat, trailer, house coach, or mobile home longer than fifteen feet overall cannot sit in the area between the street right-of-way and a line drawn from the front of the main building out to the side lot lines, on any residential lot. Positioned behind that line, in a side or rear yard, the same equipment can be stored without violating (B).

Subsection C adds a separate, unqualified safety rule: no boat, trailer, house coach, or mobile home of any length can be maintained in a way that creates a hazard to children, regardless of where it sits on the property. Both provisions sit inside § 198-76, the same section that requires municipal authorization or a Zoning Board of Appeals grant before keeping commercial vehicles and heavy equipment on residential land, so an oversized camper parked at the curb line invites the same Building Inspector review as an unpermitted dump truck.

The fifteen-foot measurement runs to the overall length of the unit, not just the trailer bed, so a house coach's bumper-to-bumper length controls. Owners of longer boats or RVs commonly solve the front-yard limit by relocating storage to a side or rear yard, or by moving the unit off-site, since the code does not offer a variance path specific to this subsection separate from the general Zoning Board process.
