Section 72.04(C)(2) gives trailers, boats, and habitable motor vehicles a tighter rule than the general commercial-vehicle exception in Section 72.04(C)(1). Where a work van can sit outside temporarily during an active construction job or a delivery run, a boat or RV has only one narrow outdoor allowance: routine cleaning, or loading and unloading, and only temporarily. Storage of any length beyond that requires a fully enclosed garage; parking a travel trailer in the driveway between trips, or leaving a boat on its trailer beside the house, falls outside the exception.

The Section also bars maintaining living quarters in a motor home or recreational vehicle while it is parked on the property, which forecloses using a driveway-parked RV as guest housing or an extra bedroom even during the brief cleaning or loading window the Section allows. The same enforcement path applies as the rest of Chapter 72: an Enforcement Officer or parking enforcement specialist who finds a boat, trailer, or RV stored in violation issues a citation under Section 72.90, affixes it to the vehicle, and the registered owner has ten business days to pay before a $12.00 late fee attaches under Section 72.90(B).
