Lynwood Municipal Code § 9-1.16, part of the city's garbage and refuse chapter, requires that tree trimmings, brush, shrubs, or other yard material capable of being bundled be securely tied before it is set out for the city's collector. Three separate numeric limits apply to each bundle: it cannot weigh more than sixty pounds, cannot run longer than four feet, and cannot measure more than twenty-four inches in diameter. The section traces back to the city's 1972 code, section 13-26, carried forward unchanged into the current chapter.

A resident who ties an oversized load, such as a bundle of cuttings that tips the scale past sixty pounds or a branch longer than four feet, has not met § 9-1.16's requirements, and the city's contracted collector is not obligated to take it; the material has to be cut down, re-tied within the printed limits, or hauled away by the resident before the next scheduled pickup. Because the section sits inside the same chapter that authorizes the city to collect garbage and rubbish either through city crews or an independent contractor, the sixty-pound, four-foot, and twenty-four-inch caps apply citywide regardless of which collector serves a given block.
