Section 86-17(a), Landscape Waste Collection, sets the packaging and size rules for yard waste picked up by the Village or its contractor at residential sites. Landscape waste, defined in Section 86-2 as grass, leaves, small brush and tree clippings and other similar waste, must be placed in biodegradable paper bags except as otherwise provided in the section. Large limbs must be cut to lengths not exceeding 5 feet and must not exceed 3 inches in diameter, and they must be bundled together with other landscape waste for collection; no bag of landscape waste or bundle of brush, including branches and limbs, may exceed 50 pounds.
