EMC 10.20.160 bans parking any commercial vehicle over 10,000 pounds GVWR, or any commercial trailer or semitrailer regardless of weight, on city streets. Fines escalate from $250 to $750. EMC 120.05.080 separately bars overnight commercial-vehicle parking on private yards and driveways.
Eastvale tightly restricts commercial vehicle parking through its own ordinance. EMC 10.20.160 prohibits any person from parking or leaving standing a commercial vehicle with a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating of more than 10,000 pounds, or any commercial trailer or semitrailer regardless of weight, on any public street or highway in the city. EMC 10.20.010 defines a commercial vehicle as one required to be registered under the California Vehicle Code and used to transport persons for hire or designed primarily for transporting property. The city posts signs at major entry points under EMC 10.20.160(b). Exceptions in subsection (c) cover vehicles making pickups or deliveries to a building on the street, those aiding a service performed on a property in that block, PUC-regulated school or passenger buses, public or licensed-contractor vehicles maintaining public property or utilities, and authorized emergency vehicles. Penalties under EMC 10.20.160(d) are an infraction fined at $250 for a first violation, $500 for a second, and $750 for each additional violation within one year of the second. Beyond the street ban, the neighborhood preservation standards in EMC 120.05.080(d)(2)(e) prohibit commercial vehicles from parking on a public street, sidewalk, right-of-way, private yard, or private driveway except during active loading or unloading or while the owner works there, with no overnight parking allowed. The city also restricts noxious-cargo trucks and trailers near residences under EMC 10.20.070.
Parking an over-10,000-pound commercial vehicle or any commercial trailer on an Eastvale street violates EMC 10.20.160 and draws escalating fines of $250, $500, and $750. Overnight or yard parking of commercial vehicles violates EMC 120.05.080. Noxious-cargo trucks near homes violate EMC 10.20.070.
