Kenner, LA Short-Term Rentals: Noise Rules (2026)

Unified Development Code § 12.16(a)(2) requires that a brochure be located in the short-term rental in a conspicuous location at all times. The brochure must list the name, phone number with area code, and e-mail address of the licensee and the designated local responsible party, so a guest or a neighbor has someone to call. It must also provide information pertinent to the neighborhood where the short-term rental sits, including, but not limited to, restrictions on parking, noise, trash, the trash collection schedule, and a fire evacuation route.

Kenner does not print a separate STR-specific decibel limit or curfew inside this section; instead it leans on the operator to disclose whatever neighborhood noise restrictions already apply and to keep a designated local responsible party reachable. Failure to maintain the required brochure is a failure to comply with the requirements of the short-term rental chapter, which under § 12.16(g)(1) is itself grounds for the lodging accommodation review committee or the council to suspend or revoke the property's lodging accommodation license after a hearing.
