Section 92-42 governs collection from residences: on the day or days the Township designates, homeowners must place metal, glass and plastic recyclables in the recycling containers the Township issues, set curbside, street side or at an authorized collection point. Paper and junk mail follow the same curbside rule in Township-issued containers. Leaf waste can go into approved biodegradable bags on a regular refuse day, or curbside for bulk collection during specially designated weeks, and must be out by the Sunday before the collection week and kept clear of the roadway.

Yard waste, tree and bush clippings must be bagged, canned or bundled, with bundles capped at four feet long and 50 pounds and nothing thicker than three inches in diameter. Section 92-43 makes it unlawful for anyone besides Township employees to collect recyclables without written Township permission, closing off scavenging of the recycling stream. Separately, § 108-5's nuisance rules add a timing limit that applies township-wide: refuse receptacles cannot be placed at the curb more than 12 hours before the scheduled disposal time and must be pulled back at least 12 hours after they are emptied, so containers cannot sit out for days at a stretch.
