Davie, FL Trash & Recycling: Bulk Item Disposal (2026)

Bulk and yard-waste disposal in Davie is provided by the franchised collector, Coastal Waste & Recycling, separately from weekly garbage. Single-family residential bulk pickup occurs once per month on a scheduled date that residents look up through the Town's Bulk Trash Locator (davie-fl.gov/BulkTrashLocator). Condominiums and multifamily properties receive quarterly bulk service on published dates. The Town's guidance sets quantity and size limits: a bulk set-out 'should not exceed 15 cubic yards'; tree limbs and trunks 'should not exceed five feet in length or 75 lbs in weight'; and loose leaves 'must be placed in plastic bags and weigh no more than 50 lbs.' Accepted bulk items include furniture, mattresses, carpets, household items, large and small appliances, yard waste (limbs and bagged leaves), wire and cable (rolled and tied), and construction-type debris such as rock, asphalt, tile and roofing materials placed in hard containers; glass must be placed in a rigid container and taped. Residents may not set additional garbage next to the cart for the automated truck. Yard waste under 75 pounds may also go in the 96-gallon green cart on any regular garbage day. Refrigerators and AC units require Freon to be removed by a certified dealer first, and household hazardous waste and electronics are handled through Broward County drop-off facilities.
