Section 22.306.070.A.3.e of the Altadena CSD prohibits barbed wire, concertina wire, razor wire, and broken glass in any required front yard fence or wall. Chain link fencing over 42 inches is permitted only if it is covered and visually obscured with live plant material AND complies with the rest of Subsection A.3 (including the live-plant landscaping requirement between the fence and the street).
Non-compliant materials are a zoning violation under Title 22. Citation and removal orders can be issued.
