The City of Doral provides weekly bulk item collection for single-family residences on the same day as yard waste pickup through the contracted franchise hauler. Acceptable bulk items include furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other large household items. Items must be placed at the curb the evening before or by 6:00 AM on collection day. Appliances containing refrigerants (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners) require advance scheduling to ensure proper Freon removal. Construction and demolition debris, tires, and hazardous materials are not accepted through regular collection. Residents must arrange private hauling for construction debris. Hazardous waste including paints, chemicals, batteries, and electronics should be taken to Miami-Dade County household hazardous waste collection centers or scheduled events. The city may limit the number of bulk items per week. Contact Public Works at (305) 593-6740 to schedule appliance pickup or for collection questions.
Placing construction debris, tires, or hazardous materials at the curb for regular collection results in citations. Items left at the curb beyond the collection period face code enforcement action. Dumping materials in vacant lots or rights-of-way is illegal dumping subject to fines up to $500 per occurrence. Contact Code Enforcement at (305) 593-6740.
